On 31 January, the deadline to apply for the Custom Payment Plan, an initiative that has been promoting since last year the Department of Finance, which is led by the mayor Isabel Garcia, to bring the administration to the citizen and facilitate payment Of various taxes, thus reducing the tax burden on neighbors.
In total, the number of neighbors who have benefited from the Custom Payment Plan amounts to 877, an increase of 58 percent from 2016, for a total of 693,459.28 euros.
This measure has been improved for the current year, since the companies have also been able to benefit from the payment plan, adding the Tax on Economic Activities (IAE).
In the same way, the payment term has been extended by one month.
Thus, individuals and companies have been able to split the payment of certain taxes, such as the Tax on Real Estate (IBI);
Tax on vehicles of mechanical traction (IVTM);
Tax on Economic Activities (IAE) and rate by Fords or entrance of vehicles through the sidewalks, adding the amount of the four and splitting them together.
The annual receipts can be grouped in a maximum period of ten installments between the months of February and November, although the final number of deadlines has been fixed by the interested party.
In order to be a beneficiary of this initiative, a series of requirements must be fulfilled: being a natural person or a commercial entity;
Be aware of payment of debts with the City of Cartagena on the date of application and during the validity of the Payment Plan;
Domicile the payment of periodic installments, with waiver of the repayment period established in Law 16/2009 of Payment Services, in addition to providing the City with an email for notification purposes related to the Payment Plan.
Similarly, the monthly fee resulting from the Payment Plan should not be less than 20 euros.
Finally, the total sum to be divided can not be less than 100 euros
