The Mayor of Cartagena, José López, and the Councilor for Transparency Portal and Office, María José Soler, held a meeting this Friday, February 3, with the president of the Transparency Council of the Region, José Molina.
Thus, the event, which has been developed at the Palace Hall, has been articulated to strengthen the channels of collaboration between institutions that contribute to the defense of the implementation of transparency in public life.
Soler, as head of Transparency in the local Executive, has presented to the regional responsible the different initiatives devised from Cartagena to achieve this goal.
For his part, José Molina has highly valued the work developed from the City of Cartagena, which has become a regional reference.
Among the issues addressed was the importance of introducing the concept of transparency at an earlier age.
In this sense, the "Cartagena Ciudad Transparente" contest has been run, and awards have been given recently.
The meeting has been rated by both parties as very positive, strengthening a two-way collaboration at the time of sharing objective, the search for transparency in public management as a tool to regain the confidence of the citizen in their political representatives.
CARTAGENA'S COMMITMENT TO TRANSPARENCY
This Thursday, February 2, María José Soler concluded with the awarding of the awards to the winners in the first edition of the contest 'Cartagena Ciudad Transparente'.
The initiative continues in the line of the local Government to implement the concept of transparency in the day to day of the municipality;
Both in its area of ​​competence and in the pedagogical work aimed at raising awareness of entities, groups and companies in this objective.
The work of the Department of Portal and Office of Transparency led by Soler, in favor of transparency in municipal management, has allowed the City of Cartagena to be the only Consistory of the Region, and one of 26 in the whole country that Complies with 100% of the indicators on quality and transparency of public communication set by the Infoparticipa Seal, a state reference for the study of the transparency and quality of the information of the local administrations
