In this way, Calderon has visited the measuring station along with the director general this Friday to verify for themselves if that change is necessary and have ensured that "what will be determined by the technicians in the short, medium and long term."
The mayor of Quality of Life has expressed his satisfaction for the collaboration between the City of Cartagena and the Ministry of Environment, and has trusted that "more than one analyzer will be placed" in the municipality, as both institutions pursue "tranquility Of the people and do not raise the alarm ".
Likewise, it has announced that measurements of Bisphenol A (BPA) will be carried out for the first time worldwide to see its effects reaching the lungs.
To this end, he has assured that Cartagena will have contributions from the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena (UPCT) and the research of Dr. Estela Moreno Grau, who will also collaborate with the Ministry and companies to seek "clarity and transparency" and has presented The methodology it has developed to measure this substance.
In this sense, Molina explained that the residents of La Aljorra had expressed their uncertainty about the presence of BPA in the environment, but the company they claimed had assured during the meeting on Friday that it does not burn in its facilities this compound " But another that may have traces of BPA. Molina said that "the data, which are exposed in the air quality portal of the Region, show that since 2010 the thresholds have not been exceeded nor alert or information to the population of air quality parameters" .
