The Hall of Events of the Cultural Center Ramón Alonso Luzzy hosts this Thursday, February 2, 'The dance, uniting the peoples above the borders' within the programming of 'Reading, Think, Imagine' and 'Cartagena thinks' Of the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena and framed within the cycle 'Report the escape, think the welcome and build the hospitality'.
During the event, which will start at 8 pm and will be presented by Natividad Guerrero, the Ukrainian dancer Anzhela Brailova will perform five themes from different parts of the world, some of which are currently in armed conflict.
The program will include the interpretation of the popular Russian song 'Valenki';
'Nour ala nour', by Yasser Al Swery;
The theme of Henri Mancini 'The Pink Panther';
Emilie Simon's 'To the Dancers on the Ice';
And 'Hometown Glory', which appears on the first album by singer Adele Atkins.
Thus, the young dancer will allow the lovers of the performing arts to delight in a repertoire of recognized themes in which classical dance will be configured as the main language to show that art is the "best vehicle to twin cultures and to heal wounds Provoked by the conflicts ".
Since April 2014, the town of Slavyansk from which Brailova comes, has been one of the scenarios of the armed conflict in eastern Ukraine.
The dancer, born in 1991 in Ukraine, has danced since the age of twelve.
He has done activities at the Slávyansk School of Art.
He has also studied Pedagogy with Specialization in Choreography and Popular Dances at the Pedagogical University of that same city.
