The Civic Center of Pozo Estrecho was filled last Saturday to listen to the centenary music band 'Santa Cecilia' to play the three finalists who aspired to the first prize of the XXV International Music Composition Competition of Pasodobles Villa de Pozo Estrecho, And the work that obtained the mention to Best Pasodoble Extranjero.
A final gala in which 'Memories of Levante' took the first prize.
The event was attended by the mayor, José López;
The Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejón;
The councilman of Culture, David Martinez;
And the Councilor for Tourism, Obdulia Gómez.
The public enjoyed the music, and after the interpretation of the four works was made public the record of this year.
To celebrate the 25th edition of the event, which was staged with a cake to commemorate the anniversary, three prizes were awarded in place of the unique prize that was traditional.
The first prize, endowed with 2,000 euros, was obtained 'Recuerdos de Levante', by Aurelio Fernández;
Diego Juan Jiménez's "Arrope" was in second place, for which he received a diploma and a prize of 1,000 euros, and third place was Qart Hadast by Juan López, also receiving a diploma and 500 euros.
Among the 40 compositions presented to the competition, five of them came from outside our borders, specifically Finland, France, Portugal, Italy and Belgium.
The mention of the Best Foreign Pasodoble, endowed with 1,000 euros, was taken 'Many Congratulations', Finnish author.
