The Councilor for Culture, David Martinez, and the theater director Pepe Ros have presented this Tuesday the XXIII Theater Competition of Pozo Estrecho, organized by the Theater Group 'La Aurora' and sponsored by the City of Cartagena, to be held In the civic center of the Association of Neighbors of San Fulgencio of this cartagenera deputation from the 4 of February to the 1 of April.
The mayor of Culture has agreed with Ros to underline the variety of the program, which makes this edition "a contest of performing arts", in the words of the director, which mixes music and dance with the main protagonist of the same , theater.
Martínez has remarked the presence of classic works such as Yerma, by Federico García Lorca, as well as other more current works.
Ros, for his part, highlighted "the three montages made by this great effort, the Theater Group 'La Aurora', which involve all the people who make up the group," about 60 people.
These three works will be an adaptation of 'A Streetcar Named Desire', 'Marquilla Terremoto' and 'La Bernardo y sus casa'.
Pepe Ros has pointed out about these three functions that what was intended from the organizing entity "was to encompass all the people who want to dedicate themselves to doing theater in Pozo Estrecho."
In addition to this, also participates in this contest the Youth Band of the Society of Music Santa Cecilia, which "will interpret themes well known by all," as has advanced Martinez.
Apart from this, the Flamenco in this edition of the hand of the Company of Spanish Flamenco of Lola Sornichero, who incorporates in its dance group dancers and dancers of this deputation.
The Antaviana Company premiered in the Estrecho Well its version of the zarzuela 'El otro duo de la Africana'.
Also, there will be a montage of the School of Dramatic Art of Murcia in which teachers and students will take part.
