The City Council of Cartagena, through the Department of Urbanism and Infrastructures, has provided Venice Avenue with the Residential Complex of Santa Ana, with 18 new six-meter-high streetlights, which operate with LED technology, aimed at lighting the crosswalks.
It is an action demanded by the neighbors through the Conservation Entity to improve road safety and avoid abuses.
The luminaires have been mounted on fiberglass posts to minimize impact in case of an accident.
The final result of the action that has had a budget that has been around 30,000 euros has been an appreciable increase in lighting in the central promenade that allows drivers to clearly notice the presence of pedestrians who want to cross the Avenue.
