The members of SAES's Business Committee met today with the Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, to convey their concern that SAES is affected by deficit reduction laws, which prevents workers from collecting their due By agreement.
Castejón has pledged to study his complaints with the rest of opposition groups to present a joint initiative in the next plenary session of the City of Cartagena.
"We are going to analyze the real situation of the company and to look for the formula so that the workers receive the answer that deserve to their demands", emphasizes the deputy mayor.
"It is not just understood that a company with benefits and that does not imply any cost for the State to suffer these restrictive measures in their salary management or replacement of personnel, preventing a company like SAES, with benefits and expanding, to be more competitive" , Says Esther Corbalán, president of the works council.
The savings produced by wage limitations not only have no effect on the reduction of the deficit, but also have a negative effect on the management of the company, as its capacity to retain the specialists who work in it is hampered. Improving their productivity and increasing their degree of competitiveness in international markets, say the representatives of the Works Council.
