On Sunday, January 29, the first stage of the Interclub Campo de Cartagena, Mar Menor 2017 Tournament took place in La Aljorra, with a participation of 169 cyclists from nine teams from the Region.
Oscar Fabregatse lifted with the victory of this first appointment in an end to the sprint.
To the event, with which the City Council of Cartagena collaborates, moved the councilman of sports, Ricardo Segado.
In this first race, second of the calendar, but inaugurating the tournament after being suspended the previous stage that was to be disputed in San Javier by the meteorological conditions, the participants had to complete a route of 86 kilometers in the deputation of the Aljorra and with a Slope of 180 meters.
A group of six runners escaped disputed the victory of stage, obtaining an advantage at the end of one minute on the peloton.
The group comprised three cyclists from the Pozo Estrecho team, two from Juan Zurano and one from Roldán.
In the end it was Oscar Fabregat, from Pozo Estrecho, who won the victory and shared podium with his teammate, Francisco Fernandez.
In second place finished Blas Fernández of the equipment Roldán.
The next stage of this tournament that will last until March and which consists of a total of nine events will be played in Cartagena on Sunday, February 5.
