The Municipal Council of Commerce of Cartagena has begun its journey this morning with the appointment of its councilors, approved by the Governing Board of the City of Cartagena, proposed by the deputy mayor, Ana Belén Castejón.
"My commitment from the outset has been to ensure that all members of the local trade are able to sit at the same table to design, plan and agree on all the actions that the City and private initiative are put in place to boost this sector "Highlighted the Deputy Mayor and Councilor of the Economic Strategy Area, Ana Belén Castejón.
The first meeting of this Council will be held on 15 February.
For this reason, once the appointment of directors has been approved, they will be summoned.
"Our goal is to start work as soon as possible and, for that reason, we want to send us their initiatives and proposals before February 15 so that this first session can be operational," explained Ana Belén Castejón.
The members of the Municipal Council of Commerce, which will be chaired by the mayor, José López, and Ana Belén Castejón, as vice president, are representatives of:
- The six trade associations of Cartagena (Centro Comercial Abierto, La Milla, San Fernando, Cenit, Acobe and Acopec)
- The Santa Florentina and Gisbert markets
- Confederation of Business Organizations of Cartagena (COEC)
- Chamber of Commerce of Cartagena
- CCOO
- UGT
-The large shopping centers (El Corte Inglés, Espacio Mediterráneo, Mandarache and Eroski)
- Ministry of Economic Development
- Host
- Federation of Neighborhood Associations of Cartagena
- Hotels and Tourist Lodging Grouping in Cartagena
- Political parties.
- Municipal technicians of Commerce, Consumption, Citizen Security and Public Road, Decentralization, Tourism and Urbanism
