The mayor of Cartagena, José López, accompanied by the councilman of the area of ​​Culture and Heritage, Ricardo Segado, has moved this morning to Cala Flores (Cabo de Palos).
There, the representatives of the Executive, along with municipal technicians, have deepened on the ground in the various actions projected from the area of ​​Infrastructures and that will result in the determined commitment of the local Government for sustainable development.
The first of the initiatives will consist of the terraces and landscaping of a plot of land on Acacias Street, which is now perimetrally urbanized.
The terraces will be made by gabions (cylinders of large dimensions, woven of wicker or branches and which are filled with earth or stone).
This will give the plot three terraces perfectly leveled for use.
Another action will focus on a plot adjacent to the existing sports area on the avenue of the Calas.
It will consist of the execution of a natural path that will join existing roads in the northern part of the plot.
The action will give continuity to the footpaths that connect Cala Flores and Cabo de Palos, areas especially transited on festive dates.
In the same way, the area will be provided with bio-healthy elements to increase the current sports offer.
The start of the work, which will be initiated in parallel and will be carried out with own funds, is foreseen once the exhaustive beach cleaning plan currently being implemented has been finalized, with special emphasis on the effects caused by the last temporary.
The first step will consist of the ground movement that is expected to be completed before the Easter holiday, provided that the aforementioned beach cleaning priority permits.
They are two projects that will have continuity over the next months in other proposals focused on the cleaning and conditioning of green areas throughout the municipality
