The General Secretary of the City of Cartagena has called for all the municipal groups of the Corporation to be constituted by the Commission of Investigation in charge of studying for the next 1 of February (11:00 hours, 3ª plantation Administrative Ed. Of San Miguel) The circumstances surrounding the acquisition in 2010, by the City Council, of the land for the construction of the new school in La Aljorra.
The agenda also includes the appointment of the President of the Commission.
The constitution of this working group is the result of a plenary agreement, adopted last September 29, with the votes in favor of MC, PSOE, C`s and Cartagena Sí Se Puede, and the only vote against the Popular Party, Being the motion presented by mayor of the municipal group MC, Francisco Calderón.
The Commission will be responsible for clarifying the cost of the acquisition, previous owners of the plot, previous feasibility studies, etc.
The municipal group MC, which will be represented by its spokesman, Francisco Calderon, hopes, among other things, to clarify the possible participation in the process of transmission of the lands of the brother of the current member of the Corporation, Nicolás Ángel Bernal.
Likewise, it is necessary to check whether the file followed, as is mandatory, the appropriate legal procedures under the supervision of the then Urban Planning Councilor, Joaquín Segado.
Lands of La Aljorra for the new school
It should be recalled that the land acquired, which is the subject of this Commission, has been considered unfit by the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura and the Ministry for the implementation of an educational center there to meet the educational needs existing in this town of Campo de Cartagena.
For this reason, the Commission will be obliged to disclose the reasons that led the previous local Government to make such acquisition.
