The city of Cartagena is being the protagonist in the stand of the Region of Murcia in FITUR 2017. For that, until Madrid, has been displaced a representation of the equipment of Municipal Government, headed by the mayor;

Precisely to commemorate the Year of the Enlightenment, the first mayor has advanced some of the planned events, among them exhibitions, contests of photography, painting and literature;

Route of the Strengths;

Extraordinary concert of the Enlightenment;

Night of the Museums;

Theater displays;

Informative actions;

Guided and theatrical visits;

Reforestation and European programs;

etc.

In addition, this year edition of the Route of Strengths will have the perfect framework with the Year of the Enlightenment, as the test, as López has pointed out, will run through castles, walls and fortresses built under the reign of Charles III .

The mayor has concluded by encouraging visitors to enjoy the countless attractions of the trimilenaria, agglutinating all types of tourism, "come to see, touch, feel, smell and taste what Cartagena treasures.

ISIS TEMPLE OPENS ITS DOORS IN FITUR

The Temple of Isis in the Barrio del Foro Romano has 'opened its doors' to the general public today at the International Tourism Fair (FITUR), held in Madrid.

The Councilor for Tourism, Obdulia Gómez, has been in charge of presenting the latest developments in the excavations of the Barrio del Foro Romano, in which the discovery and recovery of this religious space are particularly noteworthy.

"The opening to the public of the Barrio del Foro Romano, thanks to the collaboration with the Repsol Foundation, has helped to further enhance our heritage, allowing us to deepen our knowledge about the ancient Carthago Nova," said Gómez.

The event was held at the stand of the Region in Fitur on the day dedicated to Cartagena, and was attended by the vice president of the Repsol Foundation, Ignacio Egea, as well as numerous institutional representatives from neighboring communities such as Valencia , Castilla La Mancha or Andalusia, as well as tour operators and other professionals in the tourism sector.

The official opening of the second phase of recovery of the Barrio del Foro Romano will take place in Cartagena in the coming weeks.

FESTIVALS AND TYPICAL GASTRONOMY OF THE CITY
