The Councilor for Transparency of the City of Cartagena, María José Soler, presented this morning the prizes of the Cartagena Ciudad Transparente 2016 Competition in the category for primary school students.
The winner has been Flor Estefanía Chancay Zambrano from the Public School Mastia with a drawing under the motto: "If those who govern us are transparent, we grow in them".
Soler has indicated that "the future of transparency is in the hands of these children who now hear of transparency but often are not clear of what this word refers to.
The contest is a way to bring the children to this concept and also make a diagnosis that is what they understand for transparency because they can tell a lot of things with a drawing. "
The council has taken the opportunity to thank the efforts of the faculty and the management team of all the participating centers for their work to raise awareness of their students regarding transparency and for giving time from their classes to participate in this contest.
The winner has received from the hands of the councilor a water chamber.
The other winners were Mario Nieto López from CP San Félix, and Mario Cerezuela Saorín from Narval College.
The centers of all the winners have received a check to spend on books and an accrediting diploma.
The objective of this contest has been to disseminate Transparency, especially in the local area and to put in value the works that are carried out by people and entities that in a prominent way contribute to bring the information and management of the resources to the citizen as an opportunity for improvement In the functioning of both the Public Administration and private enterprise.
Within the competition were three categories: Companies, Associations, Foundations, Federations and professional colleges, in which Amma Gestión de la Innovación SLU was awarded;
Secondary School Students, in which students from the San Vicente de Paúl and IESO Galileo de Pozo Estrecho centers have been awarded prizes;
And Pupils of Primary Education in which it has been rewarded to the centers indicated in the previous paragraph.
The prizes of the other categories will be awarded in the near future.
