The Education budget for this year has increased compared to the data for 2016 and has stood at 6,197,821 euros.
This was stated by the Councilor for Education of Cartagena, David Martínez Noguera, who has emphasized that two of the most increased budget items are aimed at improving work and family reconciliation as well as full integration Of the students with scarce resources.
Specifically, they have budgeted 55,000 euros that will allow school canteens to open during the holidays and ensure that children can have at least one full meal every day of the year.
In the same way, the educational programs for summer schools have also increased, going from the 10,000 with the last year to 61,536 euros for this course.
"Our intention is to strengthen the budget for these two programs, which we consider essential to improve the quality of life of Cartagena and ensure the social and educational integration of our children," said Martinez.
Likewise, an increase of 8.5% has also been included for the allocation of the National University of Distance Education (UNED).
