This Sunday, January 15, was the "IV Gymkhana Solidarity", organized by COEC and the Chamber of Commerce.
The event, under the slogan "Entrepreneurs committed", has raised a total of 9,000 euros this year, which will be shared equally the dining room 'Jesus, Teacher and Pastor' and the Little Sisters of the Poor of Cartagena.
The winner of this year's event was the Repsol team, followed by the El Corte Inglés group and Pequeña Moma in third position.
The councilors of the City of Cartagena, Francisco Calderón and Ricardo Segado, went to support this event in representation of the municipal Consistory and realized the delivery of the prize.
The president of COEC, Pedro Pablo Hernández, has been very pleased with "the success of participation for another year, the good atmosphere and the camaraderie that has reigned among all the participants during the development of the test."
For his part, the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Miguel Martínez, highlighted the amount of money that has been raised to raise for Caritas.
"We have tried to be supportive, in a fun way, with the most needy," stressed Martínez.
In the Gymkhana participated companies and institutions like the Association of Merchants of Fuente Álamo, the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Cartagena and Region (AJE) and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Cartagena and Region (AMEP), Rotary Club of Torre Pacheco, Constructions Marsac SL, El Corte Inglés, Grupo Huertas, Pequeña Moma, Repsol, Restauralia Cartago SL and San Antonio Catholic University (UCAM).
All teams, made up of six people, paid 100 euros per participant and had to pass a series of tests of skill, skill and ingenuity, which were developed in emblematic places of the city and in its most monumental areas.
The activity began at 10:00 am in the Chamber of Commerce and ended at 2:00 pm in the Plaza del Ayuntamiento, where the teams concluded the event by singing a chirigota and collecting their prizes.
The test was sponsored by the City Council of Cartagena, Alhóndigas and Mercados, the Cabezo-Beaza Business Association, Cartagena Port Authority, Bernal Cafés, Electromecánicas Hermanos Conesa, Estrella de Levante, Gestípolis, the Hervi Group, the Maritime Group Southeast, Harimsa, Hidrotec, José Díaz, La Manga Club, Marnys, Gambin Construction Materials, El Abuelo Melones, Padilla Doors, Reconcar, Relesa, Sabic and Talasur.
