Students of the subject Projects 2 of the Technical School of Architecture and Construction present today in the exhibit space of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena (UPCT) their models with proposals for improvement for the boulevard José Hierro, located between the plaza de la Merced And the Muralla del Mar Campus.
The thirty models, for which the students had to design blocks of houses and a nursery, propose a "more urban" use of this way to recover "the previous trace of the apples that were demolished not long ago," according to José Laborda , Professor of the subject.
"The current boulevard is underutilized, it is an abused space," says Laborda, for whom "the criticism that the School of Architecture brings to the city is fundamental."
The project is one of the first that faces these students of the degree in Architecture and has a complexity added by its topography, being an apple with a slope accused.
The sample can be seen until February 9 on the ground floor of the Faculty of Sciences of the Company, in the old CIM.
