The mayor of Cartagena, José López, along with Marine Action Admiral Manuel de la Puente and the Colonel director of the Marine Infantry School 'General Albacete y Fuster' (EIMGAF), Enrique Montero, presented Thursday the VIII Edition of the Route of the Strengths, that this year will advance its date of celebration to Saturday 1 of April.
The event was also attended by the Councilor for Sports and Youth, Ricardo Segado.
The race of this 2017 presents numerous variations, mainly in its itinerary.

Colonel Enrique Montero, director of the EIMGAF, section of the Navy in which the coordination of this event falls, has highlighted the "social and beneficial character" of the event, since the collection of the same will be used for these purposes.

The process of inscription to the VIII Route of the Strengths of Cartagena will open on January 23 and will close on February 2.
The following day will take place the lottery and allocation of numbers, since each year the number of available places is easily exceeded.
Those runners that are not admitted will be on the waiting list in case of losses in the period of confirmation of registration.
It should be noted that last year's edition requested the registration of 7,500 people, of whom approximately half came from outside Cartagena.
In the VII Route of the Strengths, that of 2016, it was possible to raise a total of 52,000 euros that were destined to social and charitable causes.
