The Deputy Mayor of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, presented the budgets of the Economic Strategy Area for the 2017 financial year, which shows a 13% increase over last year.
Thus, from 1,978,004 euros in 2016, the budget for the Area that runs Castejón reaches this year the figure of 2,234,459 euros and includes among its novelties a microcredit program for entrepreneurs.
During the presentation, in which she was accompanied by the Councilor for Tourism, Obdulia Gómez;

With respect to the Agency for Local Development and Employment (ADLE), its budget has increased by 5%, where it expands the offer of programs and projects.

Thus, for the moment, the Consistory is in negotiations with three banking entities to set the interest rate as low as possible.
In addition, the deputy mayor has shown the commitment of the government team for traditional commerce in the municipality, and has announced a 91% increase in the budget allocated to this area.
In this way, the Department of Commerce has gone from having a budget of 56,000 euros in 2016 to 107,020 euros this year.
In addition, for the first time in this legislature, Commerce will have a budget line designed to start the parking of the Santa Florentina Market or start the rehabilitation work of Gisbert.

TOURISM

FARMING
As for agriculture, the budget increases by 31%, and includes a € 10,000 item for the promotion of agricultural cooperatives, and Chapter 6 is to be recovered in order to make investments in the primary sector.
Regarding industry, its budget grows 33% compared to the previous year, with a 25.00 euro item to organize by the Council and participate in fairs linked to the industrial or innovation sector.
ADLE
For his part, Manuel Mora has highlighted the increase in budget for the agency that manages and that will allow them to continue to maintain and strengthen their own projects, "which are carried out with own financing."
Thus, one of the most important actions focuses on the social economy and cooperativism.
In addition, he stressed that, for six months from this year 2017, the ADLE will have a reinforcement in its workforce of five new workers that will be incorporated from a call for local public employment of the Employment and Training Service (SEF ).
The call allows the hiring of 26 workers, of whom a total of five will go to the ADLE to reinforce the different areas that are developed in the agency.
With regard to ADLE's mixed programs, the increase in the budget will allow the provision of 30 to 80 training places.
In this way, these places will be divided between the program 'Tres Tenedores', which includes hostelry, basic kitchen (pinche) and restaurant services, for children under 30;
And the 'Airis' program, for over 25 years, which offers the specialties of gardening, attention to dependence on social institutions and promotion of personal autonomy.
