The Councilor for Decentralization, Juan Pedro Torralba, has achieved the consensus of the 13 neighborhood councils of Cartagena to be able to carry out his plan of neighborhoods, which will be endowed with more than 600,000 euros and with which the mayor is trying to replace the one who suppressed the Autonomous Community more than five years ago.
The maintenance of the gardens has been taken from the budget of the neighborhood meetings, so they will have more money to spend on the development of their neighborhoods and councils.
In this way, and contrary to what happened with the previous municipal government, the council has reinforced chapter 6 on transfers to the boards.
In particular, Los Dolores will receive the most money with 80,000 euros, followed by Pozo Estrecho and El Algar with 60,000 each, La Palma with 56,000, El Albujón and La Aljorra will get 52,000 euros each, El Llano 50,000 euros, Alumbres 43,000, Isla Plana-La Azohía will receive 40,000 and 50,000 euros that will go to the Neighborhood Council of Rincón de San Ginés, which has been created recently.
Torralba has indicated that Decentralization is also working to detail the investments to be made in neighborhoods that lack the backing of a neighborhood board.
"They are preparing meetings with the groups in areas where there are no meetings to meet their needs," he explained.
The council has advanced that "many of the projects of the Neighborhood Councils are already drafted and will be drawn to hiring as soon as we have the green light for this year's Budgets."
