The photographic composition entitled 'Eíkosi' was the chosen work to announce the Holy Week of Cartagena 2017, declared of International Tourist Interest.
The jury met on Wednesday, January 4 at the Cultural Center 'Ramón Alonso Luzzy' and after deliberating unanimously decided in favor of this work of the photographer Moisés Ruiz, who had previously won some other previous editions.
The members of the court designated to choose the poster that will represent the parties were formed by representatives of the local Executive and Semana Santa Cartagenera, and included the president of the Brotherhood and Brother Major of the Brotherhood of the Holy and Real Christ of the Socorro, Manuel Martínez;
Javier Pavia, Rubén Perona, José Damián Catalá and Antonio Legaz in representation of the same brotherhood;
The Councilor for Tourism of the City of Cartagena, Obdulia Gómez;
The Director of Culture, Fulgencia Plazas;
And the secretary of the Board of Cofradías, Juan Clemente.
The award-winning poster, whose prize is associated with a prize of 1,500 euros, brings together in a single image - created from several photographs - the Virgin of the Solitude of Consuelo, after which you can see a nocturnal snapshot of the Roman Theater with the portalada Of the Cathedral in the background along with some penitents of the 'Via Crucis'.
It is a representative image, since the Brotherhood of the Holy and Real Cristo del Socorro used to start from this temple its processions before the Theater was discovered and began to be excavated.
On the other hand, the 35 works presented to this year's competition - including the winner - can be visited until the 13th of January on the first floor of the Ramón Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center for free from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. And from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
