The Network of Chairs of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena incorporates a new company: BookingEnglish, a web portal specialized in the field of education abroad, including courses and language stays and work practices
The aim of the BookingEnglish-UPCT Chair is to provide the company with the necessary support to make it a worldwide reference in the offer of training courses and practices abroad, incorporating the latest web and multimedia application development technologies.
"We want to be the Google of the languages ​​to be able to find from the same website all the linguistic and educational opportunities abroad", summarizes the founder of the company, Sofía Vázquez Durán.
The company will offer start-up scholarships for students of recent courses, focused on the creation of multimedia and information content, and for recent graduates, with option of incorporation to the template, for the programming of the search engine of idiomatic courses.
In addition, Spanish courses and other "training services for students from all over the world will be promoted at the UPCT by BookingEnglish through the Bookingspanish website", explains Vázquez Durán.
The company will give two scholarships valued at 1,500 euros for language stays in England to the students winning the teacher innovation contest 'Retame and I learn', organized by the UPCT and the Ministry of Education in secondary and high school.
The director of the chair, Diego Alonso Cáceres, believes that "it is of vital importance for society to increase the participation of the business sector in the training of university students, and likewise, the University has ways to transfer part of The technology that develops the company, in order to strengthen the business fabric of the Region of Murcia.
