With the objective of increasing the security of neighbors and users, the area of ​​Infrastructures that the mayor, José López, has recently driven, the execution of a contract, which extends during 2016 and 2017, for the Repair of railings on the public road.

The high participation in that public tender made it possible to award the same to the company that offered a discount of 36.50% on the unit prices of the technical specifications.

In this way, since last November has been acting in the maintenance, conservation and placement of new railings on public roads, parks and gardens.

The work consists of the repair of deteriorated material for various reasons, such as lack of welding, painting, replacement of any part or replacement of new railings in stainless steel, metal, sheet metal and also galvanized biondas, as indicated by the place of placement.

To this end, the Infrastructures area gave impetus to a contract that, since its materialization last month, has already accounted for a score of actions in various sites, such as the La Gola Bridge (La Manga);

Mediterranean urbanization;

Isidoro Valverde Square (Miranda);

Willows Park;

Torreciega, as well as the installation of railings in El Llano del Beal and Alumbres, among other sites.

OBJECT OF THE CONTRACT AND PROCEDURE

The contract, which will continue throughout 2017, provides for action on public roads, park and gardens existing at the beginning of the contract, as well as those that may be incorporated in the future by a decision of the City Council, within Of the period of validity thereof.

The scope of application includes all the municipal term of Cartagena.

Also included is the option to carry out works on demand, that is, designed to avoid a serious and imminent risk to the safety of people and facilities, in which case it is determined to act within a period not exceeding one hour.

It is an option that seeks to respond to sporadic cases of urgency to, once the risk is eliminated, continue the work following the procedure usually established through work orders.
