The Auditorium and Congress Center El Batel will offer next Wednesday, December 28, the first Christmas concert of the Young Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena, with the collaboration of the City Council.
Under the direction of the cartagenero Alvaro Pintado, the orchestra will offer a very varied program, composed of three very different styles of music, in a concert to which are incorporated the near 20 instrumentalists who passed the tests of access to the orchestra last month of November.
The concert, which will begin at 20:30 hours with free admission to complete capacity, will begin with the overture Finland, by the composer Jean Sibelius.
The greatest attraction of the program is Beethoven's Symphony No. 1, one of the works of youth of the genius of Bonn and which, although evidencing an innovation in itself, is an introduction to the musical revolution that will constitute Beethoven years later.
The program is completed with Suite No. 2 of L'Arlesienne, composed in 1872 by the French Georges Bizet as incidental music for the presentation of the novel of the same name by Alphonse Daudet.
The Young Symphony Orchestra of Cartagena offered its performance concert on July 17, recovering after 65 years of absence the symphony orchestra of the city of Cartagena.
