The Area of ​​Culture and Heritage of the City of Cartagena has prepared activities in the Municipal Archaeological Museum to enjoy in family at Christmas and approaching the history of the city.
Councilor Ricardo Segado and the Coordinator of Archaeological Heritage, María del Carmen Berrocal, presented this morning this activities, which has as one of the strong points the Victoria Cave.
First, until the 15th of February the temporary exhibition Cueva Victoria, Out of Africa, is held, where you can contemplate a hundred pieces that summarizes the history of this cave of the hill of San Ginés de la Jara;
A collection of fossils found at the site in the last decades.
The exhibition can be visited during the opening hours of the Museum.
In addition, three visits to the Cueva Victoria are scheduled on December 22 and 27 and January 3, guided by the expert and collaborator of the excavation Andrés Ros, to enjoy in family in a playful and entertaining way.
The schedule of the visit from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. is a free activity, where the groups will have a maximum of 40 people.

In addition, to culminate the year of modernism and for the little ones, the didactic workshop will be realized Light, color and fantasy in the Modernism, with the collaboration of the Popular University, for the creation of small stained-glass windows using materials of recycling and a lot of imagination .
The small ones from 8 to 11 years old will use colored scissors, papers and acetates to recreate the motifs of the historical moment that lived Cartagena in the early twentieth century.
The activity will take place on December 28 a maximum capacity of 15 participants.
The schedule will be on December 28 from 11 to 13:00 hours.
The councilman of the Area of ​​Archaeological Heritage, Ricardo Segado, has encouraged the participation in these activities, adding in the referred to the visits that in Cueva Victoria are doing security review work so that it can be visited safely.
