The Councilor for Education, David Martinez, chaired yesterday the School Council, which presented the works to be undertaken during Christmas parties in various schools in the municipality.
Among other actions, the fencing of schools Stella Maris and Vicente Ros will be raised, the primary toilets of Antonio Puig Campillo, as well as the medianero wall of José María Lapuerta.
Works will also be made in schools Virginia Pérez, Vicente Medina, Pipiripao, Mare Nostrum, Mediterranean and San Félix, among others.
To this must be added the works in electricity that will be carried out.
"We have to take advantage of the vacation periods to make reforms and repair the infrastructures of the schools," explained Education Councilor David Martinez.
On the other hand, the School Council approved the appointment of Ricardo Segado, Councilor of Youth, as vice-president of this organization.
In addition, the educational programs on Environment, Theater, Music, History and Traditions, and Citizen Culture were presented, which will be carried out throughout this school year.
Among the main novelties are the courses on Huerto Pío and Matildes Mine;
Animal Welfare, Consumer Education and Awareness in Educational Centers (within the Municipal Disability Plan).
