The municipal government team already has its technical services analyzing and evaluating the proposals that citizens have submitted to the First Participative Budgets of the City of Cartagena.
It should be remembered that this initiative is a pilot experience whose objective is to promote and implement the effective and real participation of citizens in the preparation of the budgets of 2017, focusing on a new way of understanding politics and transparency in management Public.
Thus, for more than a month, the neighbors and entities that wanted it presented their proposals, by the different channels enabled, to mark their priorities in the destination of 50% of investments.
It should be remembered that the total amount contemplated in the chapter of investments for the next year will oscillate the four million euros.
After completing this first phase of the process, the counting of the neighborhood proposals was carried out, counting 2,332.
The neighbors focused their proposals in different areas of action as infrastructures;
Conservation and asset recovery;
Social care or sports facilities.
The second phase of the initiative is still open, as municipal technical services continue to analyze and evaluate neighborhood suggestions, following criteria based on the technical, economic and legal feasibility of citizen contributions.
Given the great civic response, it has been decided to extend this process of analysis and carefully evaluate the proposals of the neighbors with a view to the realization of a rigorous and rigorous selection.
The City Council will inform, at that moment, of the opening of ballot boxes and the deadline established for the voting of the finalist proposals.
For this purpose, ballot boxes will be installed in the administrative building of San Miguel as in the OMITAS.
Likewise, voting can also be done online, through the platform contiGo.
