The Governing Board of the City of Cartagena, chaired by the mayor, José López, today approved the projects of the Decentralization and Youth Councils, Access to employment of young people in the adaptation and refurbishment of spaces and public buildings of the municipality Of Cartagena and Social participation and access to employment of young people in the region of Cartagena, respectively, to hire 26 young beneficiaries of the National System of Youth Guarantee for six months in order to gain experience and improve their chances of joining the working market.
These projects will choose the subsidies for Local Public Employment of the Training and Employment Service (SEF).
The budget for this initiative is 500,000 euros, of which the SEF will subsidize around 250,000 euros and the rest will be the responsibility of the City. We are putting in place all possible initiatives to improve the employability of our young people.
With this proposal, 26 young people will be given jobs and, more importantly, they will be offered the opportunity to gain experience and improve their training in order to be able to access a job once they have concluded this contract, said the deputy mayor and head of the Economic Strategy, Ana Belén Castejón.
Although the initiative is part of the Decentralization and Youth Councils, young people will work in areas such as Equality, Agriculture, Heritage and the Agency for Local Development and Employment (ADLE), among others.
In particular, they will be hired: a technician of formative cycle in superior degree of landscaping;
Three agricultural laborers;
A technical assistant supervising maintenance works or similar;
Four maintenance pawns;
A graduate in geography and history (archeology itinerary);
Three technicians of sociocultural animation;
A technical assistant in marketing;
A computer technical assistant;
Of administrative assistants;
Two socio-cultural animators;
A rural development agent;
An economist or social researcher;
An auxiliary training technician;
A documentation assistant;
An assistant technician promoting employment;
An administrative with an English B2 level and a social integrator.
This initiative is in addition to many others that we are launching from the ADLE and from the Economic Strategy Area, such as the agreement with the Industry Training Center (CEFIC), which will allow us to adapt the training of the unemployed to the demand Of companies and will be signed shortly, added Castejón.
On 24 November, the Regional Employment Service (SEF) published in the Official Gazette of the BORM Region its call for subsidies from the Local Public Employment program for beneficiaries of the National Youth Guarantee System.
The deadline for submission of applications ends on December 9.
