On the occasion of the celebration on Saturday, December 3, of the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Local Police of Cartagena has carried out a report on the actions carried out for the benefit of persons with reduced mobility.
The Department of Security and Infrastructures have carried out during this year an update on the number of parking spaces for People with Reduced Mobility (PMR), which have risen from 65 to 147.
To park in these squares, which are properly marked, a parking card is required, special authorization that can be applied for persons registered in the municipality who have the condition of disabled with serious mobility problems, understood as such when the grade of the scale Of mobility is equal to or greater than 7 points.
An update has also been made to include visually impaired people as beneficiaries of such special parking cards.
A total of 1300 cards for people with reduced mobility currently exist in Cartagena, where in the year 2016 they have been granted 259 and renovated 273.
