The Christmas atmosphere has arrived in Cartagena.
Last Friday, December 2, the streets of the city welcomed Christmas with the opening of lighting, and Plaza San Francisco hosted another year of its traditional Bethlehem.
The Council of Festivities of the City of Cartagena has organized A Christmas for all with different activities that kicked off with the opening of the municipal Bethlehem that every year is shown in the Plaza San Francisco.
The musical band Sauces put the musical note to this inauguration with different interpretations, among them villancicos.
In the ceremony were present the mayor, José López, the deputy mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, and the ediles Francisco Calderón, Juan Pedro Torralba and Obdulia Gómez, as well as other members of the municipal corporation such as Manuel Padín, Alvaro Valdés or Francisco Martínez.
More than in previous years, this prenavidad Christmas atmosphere aims to take advantage of the Bridge of the Constitution so that during the public holidays both citizens and visitors can enjoy the warmth of the lighting and the design of the Municipal Belén.
Until next January 5, where Christmas events culminate with the traditional Cabalgata de Reyes, this campaign will reach more than fifty neighborhoods and councils to promote Christmas beyond the center.
To date, there will be regular activities such as the Menudo Theater festival, which this year will have two stages, the Plaza San Francisco and the Cultural Center Ramón Alonso Luzzy, and two giant inflatable parks, one of them will be in the esplanade of Heroes of Cavite And another in the square of Juan XXIII.
In addition to Festejos, other Councils such as Culture, Equality or Sports have been involved in this Christmas program.
