Last Thursday, December 1, took place the School Cross, a test included in the Program of Physical Activity and Sports in School Age 2016-2017 organized by the Department of Sports of the City of Cartagena in collaboration with the General Directorate of Sports Region of Murcia.
In total, 1400 children from 54 schools in Cartagena gathered at the Circuit de Velocidad to compete for the seven races planned in the different categories and modalities.
The day was developed in a fluid and smooth, despite being rained from first thing in the morning in the facilities of the Circuit.
For the development of the test, in addition to the workers of the Department of Sports, has been assisted by the Club Canoe Athletics, TAFAD students, Sports Medicine Center of the City of Cartagena, Civil Protection and Circuit workers of speed.
The first classified in this event, both teams and singles, will represent Cartagena in the regional final that will take place on February 1 in Puerto Lumbreras for children, cadets and youth and March 10 in Lorca for the benjamines and fry.
