The Training Center for the Industry of Cartagena (CEFIC), this afternoon, at the request of the Department of Economic Strategy, held the First Training Meeting for Employment and Business: Challenges and Opportunities, inaugurated by the Deputy Mayor of the City Council Of Cartagena, Ana Belén Castejón, and the director of the Training and Employment Service (SEF), Alejandro Zamora.
The aim of this conference is to show the institutes and centers that offer regulated education, such as Vocational Training institutes, and those not, such as ADLE, that in CEFIC have workshops and infrastructures that can be used to expand their Training offer.
In addition, it is intended that entrepreneurs, administration and training centers collaborate closely to know what professionals are needed in the region and adapt the training offer to this demand.
The meeting began with a guided tour of CEFIC facilities so that attendees could get to know the training workshops they have.
A round table was then held, attended by Mónica Escudero, head of the Vocational Training service of the General Directorate of Educational Quality and Vocational Training of the Autonomous Community, who spoke on the current situation of Vocational Training;
Tomás Martínez Pagán, on behalf of COEC, who spoke on supply and demand in recruitment;
Antonio Arroyo, director of the Hespérides Institute, who explained the state of vocational training in the region;
And Manuel Mora, manager of the ADLE, who presented the local vision of training and employment needs.
