The Councilor for the area of ​​Quality of Life and President of the District 3, Francisco Calderón, visited the town of Los Dolores yesterday to meet with various neighborhood representatives, including the president of the Neighborhood Board of Dolores, Antonio Martinez.
After attending the Plenary of the Neighborhood Council, the mayor toured some locations in the neighborhood that will be the object of various actions.
Thus, the Contract area of ​​the City of Cartagena works in the bidding of various contracts for the conditioning of the squares 'De La Iglesia' and 'Angel Valverde'.
In the same way, the renovation of public lighting in the Arab street will be undertaken.
With regard to the improvement of public lighting, the action is framed within the scope of the Neighborhood Board.
Arab street will see its obsolete lighting improved with the installation of seven new LED light spots.
Of these, two will be installed in metal columns of six meters, while the remaining five will be fixed in facade by a metal pole that will be away from the ground in 4.5 meters.
The initial budget of the work is 11,140.75 euros and the execution time has been determined in 30 days.
In the Plaza 'Ángel Valverde', the priority objective of the contract will be to adapt it to the needs of pedestrians and provide it with accessibility conditions that it currently lacks, through access paving and pedestrians from Conesa Calderón Street and Castillo Buen Amor Street. The work includes the repair of damaged broken edges and the pavement area where the pavement has been raised, as well as relocating furniture and replacing new benches.
The budget of exit of the work is of 21,800.11 euros and the term of execution has been set in one month.
Likewise, District 3 president Francisco Calderón transmitted to the neighbors the work to be done in the Plaza De La Iglesia, an action that will count with an exit budget of 12,981.91 euros.
This action will include the repair of its entire perimeter, deteriorated by the rolling of vehicles and by the roots of the trees that have helped lift the pavement.
In addition, once the roots of the tree are removed, the firm with a terrazzo equal to the existing one will be renewed.
Finally, the contract includes the installation of ramp access to the Church and the placement of railings with handrails.
The work will be completed with the placement of bollards to prevent the inaccessibility of vehicles.
The estimated execution time is fifteen days.
