The Community has promoted a collaboration agreement with the Fútbol Club Cartagena to promote the Roman Theater through the equipment of this club, as announced today the regional chief of staff, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, after the meeting held at the Palacio de Aguirre with The president of Futbol Club Cartagena, Francisco Belmonte.
This collaboration agreement will promote tourism, culture and sports Cartagena, the Roman Theater and its museum, "the most visited in the Region," said the president, who added that "the combination of culture and sport, Through this club, will project the Roman Theater as emblem of our tourism and recovery of the heritage of the Region of Murcia.
The Minister of Culture and Regional Government spokeswoman Noelia Arroyo, who attended the meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Teatro Romano Foundation, explained that since January and until today, the Theater and its Museum have received 196,000 visitors, a number that exceeds the data Of all the year 2015, a 14 percent more, and indicated that until the end of year is expected to surpass the number of 200,000 visitors.
This monumental ensemble has succeeded in making the public loyalty through different policies of promotion, attention and hospitality to the visitor, and diversification of the services offered.
So far this year, they have exceeded most of the indicators and targets proposed for 2016.
In the scientific, cultural and educational diffusion has been continuous collaboration with different institutions, with the organization of congresses, courses and conferences, which has allowed to surpass the number of users of the museum services by 72 percent.
Within the cultural diffusion, there has been a program of temporary exhibitions, either in-house or in collaboration with local and autonomous institutions, as well as in cooperation with other foundations such as Pedro Cano and university institutions, samples that have attracted more than 110,000 people.
The website of the Museum has also significantly increased visits, 69 percent, to which must be added the 14.5 percent increase in followers in social networks.

In addition, during the meeting held today with the President of the Community, the representatives of Fútbol Club Cartagena presented to Pedro Antonio Sánchez the Foundation that they have created and that is oriented to support base football in the port city
Currently 4,250 young people from Cartagena and its region are part of the different teams that the club has and receive a sports training from the base to, at best, their arrival in professional football.
Through this Foundation, anyone can support the club and its quarry benefiting from the fiscal incentives to the sport that has launched the regional government and are "the most ambitious and important" with the Community.
Any financial contribution of a person to the foundation may be taxed on the next income tax return.
