The Governing Council has given the green light to the contracting, at the proposal of the Ministry of Health, the works for the second and final phase of construction of the Health Center of San Antón, Health Area II-Cartagena, for an amount Total of 3,858,932 euros.
The deadline for the execution of this second phase is 14 months and all actions will be carried out without affecting the assistance activity carried out in the units implemented in the first phase of construction of the center.
The Murciano Health Service (SMS) programmed the phase construction of this new center in a plot located on Recoletos street in the Cartagena neighborhood of San Antón.
This center replaces the current one because its facilities are very deteriorated and do not respond to the health needs of its basic health area, which has assigned 17,091 individual health cards, of which 3,040 are pediatric.
The building to be built will have a basement and two floors.
In total, the area built in this second phase will be 1,268 square meters in the basement and 2,572 in the ground floor and first.
The dependencies that will have 14 family medicine consultations, 12 nursing, 2 polyvalent, 2 dentistry and dental hygienist, room extractions, cures, special techniques, rehabilitation, as well as area of ​​care for women and dependencies Administrative procedures.
The first phase was awarded in July 2014 for 549,988 euros to build the block that houses the area of ​​Pediatric Care.
In this first phase seven consultations of pediatrics, both medicine and nursing, and their corresponding common areas and waiting rooms were enabled.
