The Councilor for Tourism and Rural Development, Obdulia Gómez, inaugurated last Saturday the route 'Trail of Tallante'.
The march, which departed at ten o'clock in the morning of the Tallante Hermitage, also brought together several members of the Entity for Territorial Custody and Conservation of Tall Chickens (ECUGA) and the Association of Talling Neighbors.
"Our intention is to promote and exploit the western area of the municipality, which has a natural wealth and spectacular scenery.
In addition, in Los Puertos de Santa Bárbara we also have the Ethnographic Museum, which offers us the possibility of knowing about agricultural techniques now almost disappeared, or the cheese factory of La Yerbera, "said Gómez.
It is a trail that brings together various environmental elements along its route and whose main thread is the Garbancillo de Tallante and its relationship with the natural environment.
The route runs through areas of great geological interest such as Cabezo Negro de Tallante, where we can find an important biodiversity of flora and fauna.
As for elements of cultural interest, the traditional architecture of the Campo de Cartagena stands out, reflecting the limitations and needs that the inhabitants had to face only a few decades ago.
These traditional constructions can be observed nowadays in different places of the Entity of Custody of the Garbancillo of Tallante (ECUGA), like Pueblo Roto, Las Casas of Seville or Los Perez.
Equally noteworthy is the agriculture represented by rainfed crops, such as algarrobo and almond tree.
