The Symphony Orchestra of the Region of Murcia stars in the concert of this gala, whose collection goes to three associations that fight against cancer, alzheimer's and rare diseases
The President of the Community, Pedro Antonio Sánchez, will receive tomorrow the Gold Medal 'Cartagena por la Caridad' during a gala organized by the charitable association of the same name and that will take place at 19:00 hours in the El Auditorio Batel of Cartagena.
The Symphonic Orchestra of the Region of Murcia (OSRM) will be the protagonist of the tenth edition of this gala, playing under the direction of Virginia Martínez, some of the best known works of his repertoire, as well as other children's pieces and the world of cinema.
The collection of the concert will go to the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), the Spanish Federation of Rare Diseases (FEDER) and the Association of Relatives and Patients of Alzheimer's of Cartagena and Comarca (AFAL).
In addition, in the course of the same, the Cartagena Association for Charity will deliver its 'Awards to Charity' to individuals and charities that have done a great job during the last year.
On this occasion, Father Ángel García, President of the Messengers of Peace Foundation, will be recognized;
Brother Isidoro Macías Martín, 'Father Patera';
And the Friends of Honduras Association of Cartagena.
Cartagena de la Caridad has been working for ten years and being an example of generosity and dedication with initiatives such as collecting toys and food or the edition of a solidarity calendar.
