The president of the Popular Group, Antonio Calderón, "has shown the commitment of the Popular Party to work in the protection of victims and achieve a society free of any form of gender violence," on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.
Calderon said at the ceremony held in Plaza San Sebastián, that "this act involves all citizens, we must act responsibly in all areas of our life.
Violence incites violence and therefore, we have to be very "exquisite" in our deeds and words. "
In this sense, he insisted that "among all we have to facilitate that both men and women break their silence and denounce.
The whole society must be involved so that among all we receive an education that can prevent future violent behavior. "
For the Popular Party, we must work with the aim of achieving a joint and coordinated work between the different Public Administrations, as well as the involvement of all civil society.
"From the dialogue, we have to be able to agree to fight the scourge of gender violence"
