The Civil Guard of the Region of Murcia, in collaboration with the Local Police of Cartagena, has developed an action that has made it possible to thwart the escape of the two suspected robbers of a service station in the hamlet Cartagena of El Albujón.

On Monday, November 21, civilian security guards specializing in citizen security prevention received notice of a robbery with violence and intimidation at a service station in El Albujón, so they initiated the planned action for these cases with the Purpose of verifying the commission of the crime and, if necessary, clarifying it with the identification of its perpetrators and the recovery of the subtracted effects.
The first on-site investigations, carried out with speed to prevent their authors from leaving the place, allowed the agents to verify the commission of the robbery at noon and in a short space of time.
Two young people of Maghreb origin, dressed in ski masks and wielding a simulated pistol and a knife, intimidated and threatened to kill the gas station employee until they snatched the cash from the cash register at that moment.
After the commission of the robbery, the authors fled on foot of the place towards a zone of field of the outskirts of the Albujón.
Immediately and in collaboration with the Local Police of Cartagena, the Civil Guard established a fence device in order to know the location of the young delinquents and to avoid their definitive flight.
The device bore fruit shortly after surprising the two suspects running cross-country through an area of ​​farms, allowing to narrow the fence until finally they were located and stopped.
The agents tracked the area near the place of detention and found a simulated pistol, allegedly used in the robbery.
One of those arrested was seized, among their belongings, the cash allegedly stolen at the service station.
Once in the headquarters of the Benemérita in El Albujón, the civil guards verified the identity of those arrested, noting that they were known habitual delinquents of the area with a large criminal record, despite his youth.
Those arrested a Moroccan, 18 years and a minor, seized effects and investigations have been made available to the Court of Instruction of Cartagena and the Juvenile Prosecutor's Office of Murcia.
Thanks to the immediate reaction of the agents and the close collaboration between the Civil Guard and the Local Police of Cartagena, the criminal act has been fully clarified with the location and detention of the alleged perpetrators and the recovery of the money stolen in the robbery. Has already been returned to its rightful owner.
