The City Council of Cartagena met during the third quarter of 2016 its commitments of budgetary stability in terms of income and expenditure, as stated in the report of the Municipal Treasury exposed this noon in the Informational Commission of Finance, chaired by the councilman of the area, Francisco Aznar.
The report certifies the good progress of the municipal accounts and augurs the end of the fiscal year without deficit and all this after having canceled a few days ago, ICO credits, amounting to about 22 million euros, and that intervened the budgetary possibilities of the Consistorio cartagenero.
The report, on 30 September, puts the level of revenue management of the City of Cartagena and its autonomous agencies at 91.97 percent of what was forecast for the whole year, with 84 percent actually entering.
As for expenditures, on that same date, 64 percent of the budgeted for the whole year had been contracted and effectively paid 61.38, which represents 98, 35 percent of the expenses incurred.
As for the average payment period during the quarter: it was 35 days in September;
Of 22 in August and 23 in September.
As explained by the Councilor for Finance, Isabel García, the data reflect the rigor with the municipal government is putting order in municipal economic management, decreasing year by year the debt of the City and its autonomous agencies.
In September 2015 the consolidated debt was 151.4 million euros: 89.5 million bank loans;
23.3 of ICO loans;
11.1 of the advances made by the State for the years 2008 and 2009;
And 27.4 to FCC for deferrals of payment for the garbage collection and cleaning service.
In September 2016 the debt was reduced by about 16 million euros and stood at 135.7 million euros: 78.9 million bank loans;
21 of ICO loans;
10.4 million of the advances made by the State for the years 2008 and 2009;
And 27.5 to FCC for postponements of payment for the garbage collection and cleaning service.
According to Isabel García, today's debt, November 21, is still lower and stands at 111.7 million euros, after ICO loans were canceled on November 8.
