Fifth and sixth grade students from the Cuatro Santos school participated in the table tennis activity organized by the ADE Program (Approach to Elite Sports) of the Department of Sports on Thursday, November 17th.
For more than two hours the schoolchildren shared experiences with the UCAM-CARTAGENA male and female players on a special day at the Barrio Peral Specific Municipal Table Tennis Pavilion.
The students made a tour and a visit to the area of ​​trophies and photographs on the history of table tennis in the city to start the day.
Then, the schoolchildren met the athletes to whom they asked many questions.
Adriana, coach of the women's team and player Jesús Cantero, were in charge of introducing the components of the teams and directing the activity.
The day continued with exhibition of players before the expectation of the young people.
Then some students had the opportunity to play table tennis with a player, later all the students played with them.
During the activity there was time to sign autographs and take group photos with the players of the two teams.
The activity ended with the presentation of souvenirs by the Council of Sports and UCAM Cartagena to the school and vice versa.
The tenth edition of the ADE Program, organized by the Department of Sports of Cartagena within the Area of ​​Promotion and Management of Sports Activities, is held during this school year and it has the collaboration of the General Sports Department of the Autonomous Community, the College Official of Graduates in Physical Education and Sport.
