The night of Thursday, November 17, witnessed the great performances of the winners in the competition between the Strings and Metals in their last edition: Arturo Abellán Sánchez (piano), Niya Yavorova Ralinova (cello), Álvaro Canales Albert (bassoon) , Gonzalo Pineda González (marimba) and Luis Felipe Rodríguez Santiado (flamenco guitar), who was in charge of putting the finishing touches at the end of the concert accompanied by the singer Lola Cayuela and the Chamber Orchestra of Cartagena.
The assistants enjoyed these young talents and their interpretations, among them the councilor of Property, Isabel García;
The director of the Conservatory of Music of Cartagena, Maria de los Ángeles Bres;
The Director General of Educational Innovation and Attention to Diversity, Ana Millán;
The regional deputy, Luis Francisco Ferrández, and councilors of the municipal group Citizens Manuel Padín and Ana Rama.
There is still one more concert where the soloists awarded in the previous edition of the contest will continue to delight us with their performances.
Today, Friday 18 November, the third and final concert will take place at the Auditorium of the Music Conservatory of Lorca, which will start at 7 pm with the soloists Arturo Abellán (piano), Francisco Díaz (trombone), Gonzalo Pineda (Marimba) and David Cano (guitar).
The contest Entre Cuerdas y Metales, organized by the Council of Youth of the City of Cartagena, organized has become a reference for those who study music in the region, achieving a high level of participation for the stimulus that represent the awards.
The key to this success lies not only in an endowment, but in other elements such as the opportunity of the winners to play as soloists with a professional orchestra in a cycle of promotional concerts.
