For the mayor of the orange formation, Ana Rama, "an eminently tourist city like ours must have an ambitious plan to beautify the urban landscape and I think that with small strategic interventions like the one we propose we achieve great results."
Citizens Cartagena will ask in the next Municipal Plenary that the local Government take the appropriate measures to fix and decorate the murals of tiles in the avenue Trovero Marín.
The orange formation considers that this avenue is in an emblematic place of Cartagena, since it connects the square of Bastarreche with the Cuesta del Batel and supposes the traditional entrance to the castizo neighborhood of Santa Lucía.
It opens both the entrance to the LVEF and the bus station of Cartagena, being this the first sight of the city that is offered to neighbors and visitors.
According to the Councilor of Citizens in Cartagena, Ana Rama, "the situation in which there is the tile of cloth that runs parallel to the Wall Carlos III, with shields relative to Holy Week cartagenera, allegories on the city, among others, is Of total abandonment, missing pieces and others are in very poor condition.
With this initiative, Citizens Cartagena again stresses the need to improve and beautify our urban environment and curb the degradation of public spaces.
For the Council of Citizens, "the representations of these tiles are of a high artistic value, among them, one of the first shields that have identified Cartagena, where you can see the golden castle located on the sea.
"An eminently tourist city like ours must have an ambitious plan to beautify the urban landscape and I believe that with small strategic interventions like the one we propose we produce an attractive visual impact for the neighbors and visitors that revalues our city," said Ana Rama .
