MC will request, during the municipal plenary to celebrate November 24, to urge CARM to include among its forecasts, for the next regional budget, the conditioning of the E-16 road linking El Albujón with La Aljorra.

MC believes that the improvement in this road, regional ownership, has become a priority for the regional government for a number of reasons, as the well-known commercial strength of the area has increased, in recent years, in an exponential way vehicle transit .

This increase in traffic has not, however, resulted in the completion of the necessary improvement works on a road that has not received any conservation action during the last twenty years.

In this way, the deficiencies have been accumulating, which has resulted in evident problems that affect the safety due to the little visibility in different sections, intersections or incorporations.

This fact has contributed to the lack of complementary works of services in drainage and water evacuation, endangering road traffic in the rainy season, a situation that is aggravated by the contributions of lands that carry the adjacent agricultural plots.

Among the group of detected deficiencies, some of them are highlighted as very urgent;

The low visibility of its curves and narrowing, especially in some of its intersections, such as Las Lomas with La Mina to access the industrial complex of Sabic at the height of irrigation company Agromasán SL, black spot of accidents or access itself From Las Lomas to the E-16 road, at Los Hernández.

Nevertheless, these problems would be solved immediately with the construction of a rotation in the intersection of Las Lomas to La Mina.

For the reasons described, it is easy to deduce that the current state of the road is deplorable and causes a constant threat to neighbors who, displaced from populations such as El Albujón, Pozo Estrecho, Las Lomas, La Palma, La Aljorra, San Isidro or El Palmero, have to make daily use of it to move to their jobs generated by both the aforementioned multinational and the agricultural sector.

MC supports and transfers the just demands of the neighborhood so that the regional administration, the person in charge of maintaining the road, includes in the next regional budgets the start of the conditioning of the E-16 road in 2017.

In this way, the predisposition shown by the Director General of Roads during a visit to the area accompanied by members of the Neighborhood Boards would be fulfilled.

MC hopes that this intention will be accompanied by concrete facts and that, after twenty years, the necessary improvements will be made to the E-16 regional road as soon as possible.
