The Association of Radio and Television Professionals of the Region of Murcia (ARTV) has awarded Cartagena Puerto de Culturas the Silver Microphone Award 2016, which recognizes prominent entities and individuals distinguished for their contribution to the development and growth of the Region of Murcia.
The act of delivery of these awards was attended by Deputy Mayor, Ana Belén Castejón, the Councilor for Tourism, Obdulia Gómez, as well as workers from Cartagena, Puerto de Culturas.
Castejón was grateful to the Association for this recognition and recalled the need for journalists in favor of free and truthful information.
The deputy mayor noted the progressive growth of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas, whose number of visitors has increased about twenty percent over the same period last year, recalling the beauty and uniqueness of the city's heritage, including the Roman Forum.
It is a privilege that the Association of Professionals of Radio and Television of the Region has decided to reward Cartagena Port of Cultures, for which we must be very grateful to them.
From the consortium we put in value the heritage of the city not only with our interpretation centers but with the many activities that we organize so that they are even more attractive for the tourists and the own cartageneros, emphasized the president of Cartagena Port of Cultures, Ana Belén Castejón.
ARTV has also awarded this year the Jumilla Denomination of Origin, UCAM Basketball, the painter Perla Fuertes and the College of Economists and Business Titles.
