The mayor, José López, presided this morning, in the Administrative Building of San Miguel, the meeting of the Board of Directors of the municipal society Casco Antiguo.

In the same have participated the manager, Antonio Garci'a, as well as the vocal councilors of the Council in representation of the different municipal groups of the Corporation.

The Board approved the proposal of the management for the refinancing of Casco Antiguo debt with a reduction of the interest rate that will allow an annual saving of 230,000 euros.

Antonio García has notified the reduction of the debt obtained during the little more than the year of management of the new management, estimated at an amount close to four million euros, which must be deducted from the 16.7 millionindebted debt Total when assuming García the economic direction of Casco Antiguo, what supposes a reduction of the debt near 25%.

Similarly, it has been agreed to open the public tender for the correction of errors of the urbanization of the PERI CA-4 in the University District for a budget close to 600,000 euros.

2017 PLAN OF ACTION

During the Council meeting, the revenue and expenditure forecast for 2017 was approved, as well as the action plan for next year that will focus on various aspects such as continuing to work on debt refinancing;

Continue to act as a dynamizing element of the recovery of the historical center;

To continue with the line of adaptation of the environment of the lots with the installation of panels such as those already located in the streets Caridad, Caballero and Comedias, to which will be added others, and to put on sale eight parcels owned by the society along Next year, among others.

AWARD OF PLOTS

Also included in the agenda was the award of four parcels owned by the company for the sale of € 1,114,004.

The plots are located in calle de la Cruz, 2;

San Fernando street, 18;

San Fernando Street, 12, and Ronda Ciudad de La Unión, 22.

In another order, the manager, Antonio García, has transferred to the members of the Council the state in which is the participation in the European project MAPS (Military Assets as Public Spaces), for the rehabilitation of abandoned military spaces in degraded spaces , Which in Cartagena intends to carry out an action for the recovery and integration of the Castle of the Moors and the neighborhood of Los Mateos in the urban fabric.
