Corners
Brushstrokes of a story, born as a pictorial project that aims to show, throughout the 10 compositions that comprise it, another vision of eclectic and modernist architecture and details that predominate in most of the most relevant buildings in the city And that, in many cases, they usually go unnoticed for the human eye.
Fascinating facades and domes with delicate ornamental applications, balconies with undulating lines, combinations of full and empty, lights and shadows and architectural elements with a profuse decoration, sometimes with a great symbolic load, capable of animating the most solid texture of the walls.
The imposing domes of the Gran Hotel and the Palace Hall, majestic façades such as Casa Maestre or Casa Pedreño, the graceful Palace of Aguirre, precious ornamental details of the Casino ... are some of the architectural wonders that have served to recreate the compositions of this project.
In all of them, the gray scales tell the story and try to imprimarize the character of a city, Cartagena, which despite numerous historical setbacks, causing a deep social and economic depression, again victorious over the brilliant silver waves Who rock it with pride.
The exhibition can be visited, free of charge, on the ground floor of the Palace Hall until 9 January, in the following hours: from Tuesday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
