Since the beginning of the month, tourists who visit the tourist office located in the Gates of San José, will know the history of that place thanks to the panels installed by the Department of Tourism.
In this way, the Doors of San José, are no longer just a Tourist Office, but become itself, in a new tourist enclave of the city, declared this morning the Concejala Delegate of Tourism, Obdulia Gómez, in his visit.
The new explanatory panels that appear in these old doors of the city, tell us the history of the wall of Carlos III, erected throughout the XVIII century as a defense plan of the city of Cartagena, and its three entrance doors: The Doors of Madrid, the Doors of the Dock and the Gates of San José, place where they are.
The placement of this new signage by the Department of Tourism, means a new initiative to make it easier, more accessible and attractive to tourists and visitors, all the sites and places of interest in Cartagena.
