The Department of Decentralization has put into operation a new form of contracting that will provide transparency to works contracts and supplies that have an amount less than 7,260 euros.

Thus, entrepreneurs who wish to submit their proposals for the completion of a work can do so through an application, which has already been installed on the municipal website.

The bids submitted will remain encrypted until the deadline for submission of proposals in each of the works that go to recruitment.

"What we are aiming for is that this process be done in the most open and transparent manner possible, also ensuring that the offers are completely confidential until, after the deadline, the authorized official downloads them and the technicians can study them," said Councilor for Decentralization, Juan Pedro Torralba.

Torralba also emphasized that his intention, as responsible for the area of ​​Transparency, is that the rest of councils begin to function in the same way.

"I want to extrapolate this procedure to other municipal areas because our goal is to continue working on the path of participation and transparency," he said.
