Children of war tell their life, tell your story is an exhibition reflecting the history of the nearly three thousand children evacuated to the Soviet Union during the Spanish Civil War.
Ramon Alonso Luzzy Cultural Center hosts an exhibition that takes a look at the lives of those children, now octogenarian and nonagenarian, since his departure from Spain to date.
Jointly organized by the Department of Culture of the City of Cartagena, the Association of Historical Memory of Cartagena, the association Archive of War and Exile (AGE) and the Regional Assembly of Murcia, exposure Children of war tell their life, have your history was inaugurated last Friday, November 4, hand Councillor for Education and Equality, David Martinez, and the president of the Association of Historical Memory of Cartagena, Jose Martinez.
The exhibition looks back on his life in foster homes, their education, their professional lives, their returns and activity of the Moscow Center Spanish a first-person account is structured on two axes: The photos kept by the children themselves and their testimonies and photos Moscow Centre Spanish.
The photographs have recently been recovered by AGE and the Nostalgia Foundation, and deposited, cataloged and digitized by the National Archive of Catalonia.
The written testimonies of children themselves have been collected in numerous reports, some published, others still unpublished, and the documentary preserved by the protagonists and the Spanish Moscow Center also collects numerous testimonies, correspondence and reports of teachers recovered by these four entities: Spanish Center Moscow Archive of War and Exile, Nostalgia Foundation and the ANC.
The exhibition Children of war tell their life, tell your story will run until November 28 on the first floor The Luzzy free.
During this period, there will be a series of activities related to it, from a concert on Songs of Exile and Freedom (November 11, 19:30), at a conference on García Lorca's murder 80 years later (November 16 activities , 20:00).
